Overview:
Collaborating with a team consisting of Project Engineers, Electrical Design Engineers, Software Engineers, and Technicians, the Project Manager will oversee the completion of intricate, time-sensitive electrical process and automation projects tailored for the food industry. Your responsibilities encompass a spectrum of project phases including conceptual design aligned with customer specifications, consultancy, software integration, installation, and commissioning while adhering to time and budget constraints.
The ideal candidate will manage all pertinent project documentation such as planning documents and progress reports, conducting frequent progress meetings with the project team, and coordinating with external stakeholders. This role demands a 'hands-on' approach, occasionally involving tasks like control panel design and onsite assistance for process commissioning and safety validation activities, both locally and internationally. A solid technical grasp is imperative to foster and propel team performance across all domains.
Our client are seeking a candidate with a proven track record, capable of operating autonomously yet driven to fulfill client requirements successfully. Our flat company structure, emphasizing everyone's engineering prowess, provides greater autonomy over projects, enabling you to surpass goals while fostering robust customer relationships.
Skills and Experience:
* Prior experience within the food industry is preferred.
* Profound technical understanding of electrical systems is crucial, preferably with a background in a time-served apprenticeship.
* Familiarity with hardware offerings from major automation manufacturers like Rockwell and Siemens, and expertise in designing control and motor control centres.
* Proficiency in network concepts for operational technology equipment, including managed and unmanaged switches, copper and fiber cabling.
* Understanding of machinery and process safety standards, encompassing risk assessments, safety equipment design, testing, and validation utilizing safety PLCs and IO, along with conventional methods.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office tools is essential.
* Experience in customer-facing roles, adept at liaising with suppliers and customers on a global scale.
* Demonstrated success in managing time-sensitive technical projects.
* Previous programming experience, particularly with PLCs, HMI/SCADA, and Historical Databases, is advantageous.
