Job Title: Outpatient Pharmacy Dispenser Banding: Band 3 Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire Start Date: ASAP Duration: Ongoing Hourly Rate: £15-16 Working Hours: Full-time Job Overview Pulse is currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Band 3 Pharmacy Dispenser to join an Outpatient Dispensary team within a busy NHS Trust. This is a patient-facing role requiring excellent customer service skills and a strong understanding of pharmacy procedures. The successful candidate will support the provision of a high-quality, patient-focused dispensary service and contribute to the safe and efficient supply of medicines. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will: Assist in the provision of a high-quality outpatient dispensary service. Accurately dispense clinically checked prescriptions and perform in-process accuracy checks. Validate, label, and issue prescriptions in line with departmental procedures. Use the Electronic Patient Record system to manage and print prescriptions. Manage stock control, including ordering, expiry checks, and rotation. Provide medication information and customer service to patients and healthcare professionals. Qualifications and Experience To be considered for this role, you must: Meet the minimum education requirements outlined by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) for Pharmacy Assistants/support staff. Have experience working in a pharmacy dispensary setting (NHS experience desirable). Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing.
