Job Description:
Our client is currently seeking to recruit a Learning Support Officer to join their team in Carrickfergus.
The pay rate is £ per hour plus Holiday pay.
The position is part-time, temporary, and ongoing.
Working 12 hours per week on Mondays and Tuesdays.

About the Job Role:
The client seeks staff to provide specialist disability support to young people participating in programmes such as Skills for Life and Work, Training for Success, and Apprenticeships NI.
This role also involves administrative duties to ensure accurate and timely record-keeping of support provided.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Core Duties
* Provide one-to-one and group disability support according to an agreed schedule.
* Support tutors by delivering appropriate disability-specific learning support.
* Assist the DSS Co-ordinator with monitoring and evidencing progress against performance targets.
* Promote independent learning strategies to enhance motivation and self-esteem.
* Maintain accurate records of support activities and report issues promptly.
General Duties:
* Adhere to the Group's 'Code of Conduct', maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
* Comply with policies on equal opportunities, health and safety, and data protection.
* Complete tasks diligently and participate in staff development to maintain professional standards.
Person Specification:
Skills and Competencies:
- Knowledge of supporting people with disabilities in employment, education, or training settings.
- Ability to work with participants with varying support needs.
- Proficiency in ICT and MS Office Suite, including SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Qualifications and Training:
- Educated to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, including Maths and English.
- Good IT skills for data presentation.
Experience:
- Proven experience working with young people with diverse needs.
Skills and Attributes:
- Well-organised with good relationship-building skills.
- Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently and in teams.
- Excellent time management and reporting skills.
- Ability to handle a busy workload and complete paperwork promptly.
