Good Afternoon, I am currently representing Hackney Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience We are looking for a Commercial Waste Officer this role will be: E8 1DY Hybrid The right candidate will: A Commercial Waste Sales Officer's primary responsibilities are to develop commercial waste sales and consistently increase the financial turnover of the commercial portfolio. The role involves assessing business needs and advising on the best waste management solutions, including recycling and bringing in new businesses. * Responsibility for commercial waste sales both inside and outside of Hackney's boundaries. This includes all commercial activity sold directly by Hackney within its boundaries and also all Local Authority Trading Company work regardless of its location. * To be accountable to the Senior Commercial Sales Officer for routinely achieving commercial sales and for meeting sales targets set. * Responsibility for all sales within the allocated sales area, which will, from time to time, change. * Ensuring daily sales figures are updated on the council's system /reporting platform. * To report unregulated commercial waste, when working in Hackney, so that enforcement action can be taken.
