We are seeking an organised and motivated Junior Buyer to join our procurement team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their purchasing career who is eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Accountabilities
* Support the Purchasing team in sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, components, and services.
* Raise and process purchase orders in line with company procedures.
* Monitor supplier performance, lead times, and delivery schedules to ensure continuity of supply.
* Assist in maintaining accurate stock levels through regular liaison with production and other teams.
* Help identify cost-saving opportunities and contribute to supplier relationship management.
* Resolve day-to-day supplier queries, including delivery discrepancies and invoice issues.
* Update procurement systems and databases with accurate and timely information.
* Work closely with internal departments (production, quality, engineering) to meet project timelines.
Key Competencies
* Good organisational and communication skills.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Basic understanding of procurement or supply chain principles.
* IT literate, with experience in Microsoft Office.
* Ability to work as part of a team and under own initiative.
