An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead and provide a full maternity care pathway to a caseload of women and their families who have social complexities and vulnerability factors. The post-holder will have a dedicated caseload alongside the coordination of the wider team. The model includes continuity of care during antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods, aiming to improve outcomes for women and their babies. The role also involves meeting key performance indicators both locally and nationally.
The Band midwife holds ongoing responsibility for managing the caseload team and services within her area or equivalent sphere of midwifery practice. This includes assessing care needs, developing, implementing, and evaluating care programs, and setting standards.
This is a substantive (permanent) position.
You will work closely with the Matron for community services and the Consultant midwife for Public Health.
