Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust is recruiting for 3 Senior Fleet Managers. The Fleet Workshop Engineering Manager role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the effective maintenance of our emergency service vehicles, thereby supporting frontline staff in providing high-quality care throughout Yorkshire. The Fleet Workshop Engineering Manager will be part of a team of three, each responsible for overseeing one of the three geographical regions: North and East Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, and South Yorkshire. The Fleet Workshop Engineering Manager has regional responsibility for the strategic and operational delivery of fleet maintenance services, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations across a defined geographical area. The role provides senior leadership for all fleet workshops and support services, aligning service delivery with national standards, regulatory requirements, and Trust objectives. Acting as the regional fleet lead, the postholder works closely with operational teams to ensure fleet services are responsive, cost-effective, and fully integrated into healthcare delivery. They lead the development and implementation of vehicle maintenance standards, managing internal and external providers to achieve high-quality outcomes within budget. The role includes responsibility for workforce leadership, resource management, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. The postholder also ensures service resilience through effective contingency planning, out-of-hours provision, and emergency response, maintaining fleet availability to support critical care at all times.

* Provide regional leadership for strategic and operational delivery of fleet maintenance services across a defined geographical area, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
* Lead the development and implementation of vehicle maintenance standards; manage internal and external providers to achieve high-quality outcomes within budget.
* Oversee workforce leadership, resource management, and development of a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within fleet workshops and support services.
* Ensure service resilience through contingency planning, out-of-hours provision, and emergency response to support critical care delivery.
* Collaborate with operational teams to ensure fleet services are responsive, cost-effective, and integrated into healthcare delivery.
