ABOUT THE ROLE
Due to company expansion, my client is recruiting for a Bid Manager. Reporting directly in to the Commercial Director, you will plan and manage the bid response process and deliver submission documents in line with the requirements of each tender and in keeping with the bid budget. General duties will include the following:
1. Coordinate the overall bid submission process, ensuring they are on time and to the highest standard.
2. Develop a bid strategy and win plan to maximise chances of winning upcoming projects at commercial sustainable rates.
3. Plan and co-ordinate bid responses for all submissions including reviewing bid text and contribute to and plan drafts of text for the submission as required.
4. Produce and agree the bid programme, identifying key dates for the submission of information, review dates, deadlines and production of bid, whilst assuming a full understanding of the bid deliverables.
5. Organising the review of submissions against client requirements.
6. Production and management of presentations.
7. Attend project briefings, mid-tender and post-tender meetings as required.
8. Manage any pre-construction design requirements for the tender and manage design; Propose alternative design solutions if required and maintain a knowledge of alternative technical solutions.
9. Review successful and unsuccessful submissions and promote continuous improvement
REQUIREMENTS
In order to be considered for this opportunity, it is essential you hold 5 years’ experience within bid management and be able to demonstrate the successful management of bids ranging in value from £5M to £20M. You will ideally be educated to degree level in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (Ideally my client is looking for a professional who has worked in an operational role before moving into preconstruction) and you must hold a full UK driving license.
REWARDS AND BENEFITS
For this permanent opportunity, my client is targeting professionals looking to earn anywhere from £75,000 – £80,000 per annum however there may be flexibility on this as the specific salary will depend on experience and suitability. Furthermore, there will be a generous package offered including 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, car allowance and private healthcare.
