About the Role: As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students with additional needs in the classroom, helping them access learning, develop skills, and participate fully in school life. Responsibilities: - Implement personalised learning plans and support strategies to meet individual student needs. - Assist students in academic, social, and emotional development. - Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters trust and engagement. - Collaborate with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other staff to provide comprehensive support. - Maintain accurate records of student progress, behaviour, and activities. - Support students with personal care, where required, maintaining dignity and respect. - Encourage participation in classroom and school activities using effective communication strategies. Qualifications: - Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational support role is preferred. - Understanding of SEN and evidence-based support strategies. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to adapt to the diverse needs of students. - A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to supporting students.
