Job Description:
About the Role: We are seeking a Market Development Representative (f/m/d) focused on Aerospace and Defence (A&D) to join our team. This position involves driving innovation and capturing Gore product content on major commercial and defence programs within the UK and Europe.
Your main responsibilities include identifying and engaging target end users, influencers, and partners to develop and execute capture plans aimed at increasing Gore’s success rate in securing business.
This is a remote role, allowing you to work from your home office within most locations in the UK.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop strategies and capture plans; lead execution for large, complex programs with UK Defence Agencies, contractors, and commercial aircraft companies.
2. Collaborate with Gore A&D leadership to refine growth strategies, including leading strategy sessions for customer communities (Air Force, Army, Navy, UKMOD, NATO) to align with their requirements.
3. Influence requirements based on end-user insights and coordinate responses to government solicitations.
4. Support opportunities transitioning from market development to sales through collaboration with regional sales leaders and sales teams.
5. Communicate customer needs to Gore’s technical teams to align product development with future customer roadmaps.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business management, or engineering.
* 10+ years of sales experience with B2G or military experience involving government-to-government sales.
* Ability to assess complex markets and identify credible demand opportunities.
* Experience managing cross-functional partnerships and delivering measurable results.
* Strong influence and conflict resolution skills without direct authority.
* Extensive customer network within UKMOD and UK defence aerospace industry.
* Ability to engage with senior leadership (VPs, Directors, Flag Officers, etc.).
* Conditional upon obtaining UKMOD Security Check (SC).
* Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Desired Qualifications:
* 5+ years of program management experience.
* Security clearances.
* Experience influencing government requirements and submitting proposals.
This role involves access to export-controlled information under U.S. law. Employment is contingent upon obtaining necessary export control authorizations under ITAR or EAR.
Remote working arrangements are permitted with prior approval, in compliance with Gore’s policies.
