The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you are the leader of the classroom when a teacher is away. Your focus is to:
* Lead the Classroom: Manage student behaviour and maintain a focused, safe, and positive learning environment.
* Facilitate Learning: Deliver pre-set lesson plans across various subjects (no subject-specific expertise is required!).
* Support & Inspire: Help students stay on track with their tasks and encourage them to reach their potential.
* Collaborate: Provide feedback to the school’s department on student progress and engagement during the teacher's absence.
What We Are Looking For
* Experience: Previous experience with children or young adults (e.g., coaching, youth work, tutoring, or volunteering).
* Confidence: The ability to command a room and communicate effectively with teenagers.
* Adaptability: A "can-do" attitude and the ability to stay calm and professional under pressure.
* Requirements: Must hold (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS check registered on the Update Service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
