Our busy Engineering client in the Dungannon area require a Production Manager to join their team. Location: Dungannon Hours: 39 hours per week (MondayThursday 8:00am5:00pm, Friday 8:00am2:15pm) Reporting to: Operations Director The successful candidate will join its management team and lead operations within a Machine Shop environment. This is a key leadership role focused on safety, quality, efficiency and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day production, leading teams to meet performance targets, and driving lean manufacturing practices to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards. Lead and embed lean manufacturing principles and best practices. Manage and develop Group Leaders, Supervisors and production teams, ensuring process adherence and high performance. Control daily production flow to achieve on-time delivery through level pull and takt adherence. Manage production costs and contribute to departmental budget planning. Deliver customer-ready quality with a strong focus on zero defects. Maintain and continuously improve production processes and operational efficiency. Manage inventory, SWIP and cycle counting activities. Oversee equipment, machinery and engineering assets using TPM principles. Promote continuous improvement, problem-solving and a one team culture. Analyse performance data and system reports to drive informed decision-making. Demonstrate flexibility to undertake additional duties as required. Essential Experience Previous production supervision or management experience within a manufacturing environment. Experience in manufacturing engineering and/or manufacturing systems. Strong practical understanding of lean manufacturing principles. Proven ability to drive efficiency, continuous improvement and process excellence. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong leadership and people management capability. Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage changing priorities. Sound knowledge of inventory control, lean tools, takt time and continuous improvement. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Logical, methodical problem-solving approach. IT literate with experience using MRP-style systems. Self-motivated, proactive and team-focused.
