Overview
Advanced Support Workers Specialist - Female. Community Integrated Care is recruiting for a Female Advanced Support Worker Specialist with flexible nights shift patterns of 39 hours per week, or part-time minimum of 24 hours.
Responsibilities
* Support a young adult with learning disabilities and autism who has other complex needs to lead their best life possible.
* Provide trauma-informed, person-centred support based on Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) principles.
* Engage the person in activities they love (drama, role play, singing, dancing, cooking, caring for pets) and stay active (gym, running, dancing, yoga) as part of the plan.
* Build rapport, be empathetic, resilient, a good communicator, and a calm, patient mentor with a “Can Do” approach.
* Spend the whole shift with the person you support to maximise impact.
What you’ll Bring / Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 in Social Care or equivalent desirable; extensive relevant experience may be considered if qualification is not held.
* Desirable: specialist training in PBS (Positive Behaviour Support) and PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) with training provided for the right candidate.
* Experience delivering PBS-based support with a trauma-informed, person-centred approach; excellent observation and communication skills; reliability and consistency.
* Willingness to participate in recruitment assessment day. Details and dates will be provided to successful applicants.
