Overview
An exciting opportunity to join the Ophthalmology team in Fife. The Ophthalmology department requires a Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) to support the team by working with members of the public, patients, and staff within the department of NHS Fife.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Ophthalmology team with daily support tasks.
* Communicate effectively by telephone and in person with patients, public, and staff.
* Maintain a professional, team‑oriented approach.
* Report to the Senior Charge Nurse Ophthalmology.
Requirements
* Excellent telephone communication skills and interpersonal skills.
* Team player and reliable work ethic.
* Prior to appointment, become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
* Part‑time role with salary pro‑rata.
* Right to work in the United Kingdom; applicants who are not UK or Irish Nationals must confirm their work rights during application.
