Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with SEND experience or someone from a care/support background looking to make a real difference?
Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Primary School in Oldham. This is a long-term role with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.
In this role, you will support students with complex needs, physical disabilities, and other additional needs, helping them to thrive both academically and personally. You'll work closely with teachers and staff to ensure students receive the care, guidance, and encouragement they need.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND
2. Support students with complex needs and physical disabilities
3. Build strong, positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
4. Ensure student welfare and safeguarding are prioritised
5. Contribute to school policies and strategies to support SEND provision
Requirements:
6. Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or within care/support roles
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
8. A caring, nurturing approach with patience and resilience
9. Strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures
10. A valid Child-Only DBS (or willingness to apply)
