The Practice Development Nurse will:
* Promote high standards of care through clinical expertise and credibility.
* Create a positive learning environment supporting staff development.
* Facilitate induction, education, and ongoing professional development for all nursing staff.
* Work with teams to implement practice development initiatives.
* Translate organizational priorities into service-specific actions.
* Support preceptorship for newly qualified nurses with development plans and regular reviews.
* Ensure staff development aligns with national and local workforce strategies, focusing on training and quality.
Person Specification
Education and Training
Essential
* Registered Healthcare Professional (e.g., Nurse with NMC registration).
* Management qualification or equivalent experience.
* Postgraduate professional development, including evidence-based care delivery.
Knowledge and Experience
Essential
* Management experience in complex healthcare environments with multidisciplinary teams.
* Knowledge of regulatory compliance (e.g., CQC, Regulation 28).
* Experience leading teams and implementing organizational change.
* Experience working with vulnerable groups and complex care needs.
* Leading clinical governance initiatives.
* Building effective stakeholder relationships.
* Understanding confidentiality and data protection.
Desirable
* Knowledge of offender health policies.
* Experience managing offender or secure unit care.
* Research experience.
