Job Description Assistant Accountant – Remote Working Salary: Up to £40,000 (DOE & qualifications) Full-time Our Client, a tech-driven law firm revolutionising residential conveyancing who are fast growing business and looking to expand on the financial team They are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join there finance team to support this outstanding growth within the business. This is a fully remote role, suited to someone confident with cloud-based systems and looking for flexible working. You’ll be working closely with the Head of Finance and the wider finance team to manage daily operations and contribute to ongoing improvements. What You’ll Be Doing Manage accounts payable: process invoices, schedule payments, maintain supplier records Collaborate with the Client Banking team to ensure accurate income recording Carry out daily bank reconciliations Support management accounts, cash flow forecasting and margin analysis Prepare quarterly VAT returns for review Provide backup support on payroll processing A self-starter who thrives on growth and improvement Work on finance process improvements and automation What We’re Looking For AAT Level 3 or 4, or 3 years’ experience within a company finance team—not just in practice Clear understanding of business operations and internal reporting cycles Skilled in Xero, QuickBooks or similar cloud-based platforms Confident using spreadsheets and creating financial reports Great attention to detail Experienced in Accounts payable. Someone with proven in-house finance experience. Experience improving financial systems or workflows is a strong plus Why Apply?
