Role: Payroll Consultant
Location: Hybrid - Paris (1 day per week with flexibility)
Terms: 12-month engagement
Rate: Up to 550 per day
I'm currently supporting my client with the hire of a seasoned Payroll Consultant to support their French payroll operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in reviewing current processes, assessing capability, and providing expert recommendations to ensure payroll is running as it should. You'll be working closely with stakeholders in Paris and partnering with senior team members to provide insight and strategic guidance.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Assessing and analysing current payroll processes and systems in France, ensuring compliance and efficiency
* Conducting a full AS-IS vs. TO-BE analysis, identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement
* Partnering with senior stakeholders (including Katie and the HR/Payroll teams) to align payroll capability with business needs
* Working with the two existing payroll team members in France, providing guidance and knowledge-sharing
* Delivering a capability assessment within the first 6 months, with clear recommendations for the future
* Advising on potential second-phase implementation projects
* Communicating effectively with both French and English-speaking stakeholders, including leadership
What Experience Do You Need
* Strong track record as a Payroll Consultant with significant experience in French payroll
* Ability to review, assess, and recommend process improvements
* Fluent in French and English (written and spoken)
* Able to partner with senior stakeholders and provide strategic advice, while engaging effectively with operational teams
* Experience conducting AS-IS/TO-BE analysis in payroll
* Excellent communication and influencing skills
