We are looking for
an exceptional individual to join our maternity teams as an advisor for Treating Tobacco Dependence.
Working at Weston General Hospital, you will have an opportunity to support the implementation of the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) Treating Tobacco Dependency (TTD) programme to help reduce smoking in pregnancy rates and improve health outcomes.
This role is suitable for individuals currently working in a clinical or non-clinical setting.

This postholder will contribute to tackling inequalities in health through promoting and supporting pregnant service users, their significant others and families to stop smoking. It focuses on engaging with people in communities and offering them practical support to change their behaviour to achieve their own choices and goals.
The postholder will provide intermediate targeted smoking cessation support throughout pregnancy and the post-natal period, using the support of interventions such as CO monitoring and Nicotine Replacement Therapy, along with administration of the smokefree pregnancy data collection and collation.
The postholder will work and liaise closely with local stop smoking services as well as local Public Health teams. The postholder is responsible for acting as a smoke free champion promoting the smoke free message through their day to day work and seeking out opportunities to develop and implement stop smoking services in a range of health and community settings.
