The Role
You will play a pivotal part in representing clients across a broad spectrum of criminal matters, from police station attendance to advocacy in the Magistrates' and Crown Courts. This is an opportunity to work alongside leading practitioners and benefit from a varied, hands-on caseload.
Key Responsibilities
* Attend police stations and provide expert legal advice to clients under investigation
* Prepare and conduct cases in the Magistrates' Court; advocacy opportunities available
* Manage files from initial instruction through to conclusion
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring the highest standards of service
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to share knowledge and best practice
About You
* Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with Duty Solicitor status
* Minimum 2 years' PQE in criminal law within a UK practice
* Strong advocacy, negotiation, and client care skills
* Experience preparing cases for court and attending police stations
* Ability to manage a diverse caseload independently
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
