Calling all Sports & Behaviour Mentors in Brent!
We are seeking proactive and energetic Sports Coaches and Behaviour Mentors with behavioural management experience to join an SEND school for children with severe Autism and challenging behaviour in the Brent area.
This SEND primary and secondary school caters to children aged 4-16 with Autism (ASC), ADHD, Down Syndrome, and Challenging Behaviour.
The role offers the opportunity to work under the guidance of SEN-trained staff, supporting programmes that enable access to learning in an inclusive environment.
If you are looking for a position that challenges you to use your knowledge, communication skills, and creativity to develop approaches that help pupils understand and engage with learning, this is ideal.
You will use a variety of resources to inspire pupils' understanding, motivation, and investigation of lessons, helping them gain the skills and attributes needed to achieve their learning objectives.
Main Duties
1. Establish trusting relationships with pupils, interacting according to their individual needs and personalities.
2. Promote inclusion and acceptance among pupils and staff, supporting diversity and ensuring equal access to learning opportunities.
3. Promote good pupil behaviour, promptly addressing conflicts and incidents, and encouraging responsibility for behaviour.
4. Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly, and supportive environment, including displaying pupils' work.
With your experience supporting children with and without SEN and ALN, you will be a valuable asset.
