Transport Operator Role
1. Dealing with multiple drivers
2. Communicating with ports
3. Booking delivery slots for entry into ports
4. Using a transport system called TOPS to schedule driver start and finish times
5. Chasing drivers for ETAs and ensuring punctuality
6. Rerouting jobs as needed
7. Checking that all PODs match the correct jobs in the system
8. Communicating with customers about possible delays and advising ETAs
Essential Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Transport Operator
* Confident and clear communicator, both written and verbal
* Excellent UK geographical knowledge
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Quick and efficient problem-solving skills
* Organised at all times
* Flexibility to meet business demands
