Accounts Assistant- Newry
Reed Recruitment is delighted to be working with a well-known and very successful company based in Newry. Our client is seeking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their busy finance team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for completing the following duties:
Duties
* Assist with accounts payable processes.
* Maintain financial records and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly onto Sage accounting package.
* Support month-end closing activities by preparing necessary documentation and reconciliations.
* Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
* Respond to internal and external queries regarding financial transactions or account statuses.
* Assist in the preparation of financial reports as required by management.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations in all accounting practices.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in an account’s assistant role.
* Proficiency in Sage accounting software.
* Strong data entry skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Strong communication skills
* A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and continuous improvement within the accounts function
