Overview
An established and growing business with a turnover of over £100M is seeking a Data & Analytics Manager to lead its Data Services function. Reporting directly to the CIO, this is a key role in shaping the organisation’s data-driven future and supporting strategic projects, including acquisitions and data migration initiatives.
The Role
As Data & Analytics Manager, you will take responsibility for leading and developing the Data Services team. With two Analysts reporting into you, you’ll provide training, mentoring, and guidance to an inexperienced team, ensuring the delivery of accurate, insightful reporting across multiple business areas, including Finance, Sales, Pricing, Operations, and Supply Chain.
The role is hands-on where required, but the focus is on leadership and driving a culture of data excellence across the business. You’ll be responsible for ensuring data integrity, ownership of the reporting suite, and contributing to wider business transformation projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and develop the Data Services team to build capability and confidence.
* Act as the data partner to senior stakeholders across Finance, Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain.
* Oversee the design and delivery of reporting and insights that track performance metrics across the business.
* Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across business units.
* Support key projects, including acquisitions and data migration initiatives.
* Champion the adoption of BI tools and a data-driven culture across the organisation.
About You
We’re looking for a driven and collaborative data professional with:
* Experience in a Senior Analyst or Data Lead role (2–3 years at this level).
* Proven ability to lead, coach, and inspire a data team.
* Strong SQL skills and knowledge of data science methodologies.
* Experience delivering insights to non-technical stakeholders.
* Strong background in BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Phocas, Tableau, or similar).
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
