Morrison Water Services are looking to recruit Graduate Site Civil Engineers to join our team and embark on an exciting career in the Water industry.
As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will work on our Caledonia Water Alliance contract who deliver water and wastewater projects for our client Scottish Water. You will engage with Project Managers, Designers, Commercial staff, SHEQ and delivery teams that will enable you to further develop your understanding and capability in a built environment. You will be part of a team that delivers the safe, efficient and on time delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure schemes.
Caledonia Water (CWA) is a joint venture alliance between Aecom and Morrison Water Services (MWS), supporting the delivery of Scottish water’s SR21 Capital Investment Programme. We are responsible for the delivery of a pan Scotland £700M water and wastewater infrastructure programme over a 6-year alliance framework.
Morrison Water Services Civil Engineer Programme is designed to continue your journey towards becoming a specialist in your chosen field. You’ll have continuous support and one to one mentoring throughout your journey that will allow you the freedom to tailor your path into roles and disciplines where you can put your best ideas into practice.
When you're starting out in your career as a Graduate Civil Engineer, you'll be required to undertake the following tasks:
You will become key part of a site management team that deliver construction projects to a leading standard.
You’ll be working in a project/site based role to ensure construction works in completed to the design specification, role include surveying and setting out tasks under the direction of the Senior Engineer.
You will have the opportunity to be involved in the programme management of tasks to ensure project delivery progress is maintained.
You will also be involved in the drafting of work task plans and incorporating the requirements of Health and Safety plan and standards.
You’ll be undertaking any work of a technical nature that falls within your ability but have the confidence to seek advice from others.
Joining us as a graduate will give you the chance to gain an understanding of the management of project budgets and programme, keep up to date with industry best practice and where appropriate identify innovation/best practice for consideration.
Last but not least you’ll be part of our structured Graduate programme leading to professional qualification.
Entry Requirements:
A single or joint degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
Do you have focus on quality and integrity in everything you do?
Have you the ability to communicate in different formats with a variety of stakeholders?
Do you have a strong attention to detail with an aptitude for problem-solving?
Are you a self-motivated and highly professional team player with a flexible, yet structured approach?
You will need Strong IT skills. Proficient in all MS Office applications.
Do you have a driving licence this will be required.
