The team you will be joining is part of State Street Global Markets (SSGM). When owners and managers of institutional assets need research, trading, securities lending, and innovative portfolio strategies, they turn to our SSGM business unit. As our investment research and trading arm, SSGM’s primary goal is to enhance and preserve our clients’ portfolio values by applying technology, optimizing trading, and linking asset classes and markets across the world.
What You Will Be Responsible For
* Lead a team of quantitative analysts, fostering collaboration to deliver tailored solutions that enhance the performance of trading desks across multiple business lines.
* Act as the primary interface between the research team and internal trading professionals, ensuring the timely delivery of actionable insights, custom models, and data-driven solutions.
* Oversee the creation, testing, and deployment of advanced quantitative models and analytic tools to address specific end-user needs.
* Apply ideas from across the research team to solve new problems and lead research efforts to develop innovative and actionable ideas.
* Identify and anticipate evolving stakeholder requirements and proactively manage priorities to deploy resources efficiently.
* Engage in ongoing dialogue with trading teams to communicate, review, and enhance results.
* Maintain an exceptional risk control environment and development process.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
* 8+ years of experience in quantitative research, trading analytics, or a related discipline.
* Master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or other quantitative fields preferred.
* Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, C++) and data analysis tools.
* Strong knowledge of quantitative modeling, statistical methods, and machine learning/AI techniques.
* Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into practical insights.
* Exceptional communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences and influencing senior stakeholders.
* Comprehensive understanding of capital markets, trading strategies, and financial instruments, with awareness of emerging trends in technology and analytics.

Salary Range
$170,000 - $282,500 annually. The range applies to the primary location; it may differ if working outside this location.
