A patient safety partner (PSP) is actively involved in the design of safer healthcare at all levels in the organisation. Your main role will be to work with us to ensure that we prioritise the safety requirements of our patients thereby maximising the things that go right and minimising the things that go wrong for people receiving our services.
Responsibilities
 * Participate and join key conversations and meetings within the Trust that address patient safety; attend patient safety meetings and committees.
 * Attend committee meetings either face‑to‑face or online, as required.
 * Challenge us and the way that we work so that together we be our critical friend, providing a questioning approach to the information shared at committees and meetings.
 * Represent the patient’s/family voice, ensuring committee members are ‘walking in the patient’s shoes’.
 * Co‑design the development of Patient Safety initiatives.
 * Maintain compliance with relevant policies and confidentiality.
The role will work alongside the Trust’s clinical and non‑clinical staff to help inform and influence decisions on services. It contributes to improving governance and leadership within the Trust, ensuring the best patient experience is achieved.
A wide range of staff benefits are available, including staff development, NHS pension scheme enrollment, temporary workforce service, access to on‑site facilities and free psychological support through the Employee Assistance Programme. On‑site parking is available for a small administration fee.
