Job Description
The Role:
Within this role, you will be working as a part of an experienced workshop team, ensuring their vehicles are finished to the highest standard for their customers, under the support and guidance of the supervisor and Workshop Manager.
Responsibilities:
* Carry out general servicing of vehicles.
* Undertake general tyre changing duties for a variety of vehicles.
* Undertake road and ramp testing and inspection as and when required.
* Carry out all repairs in line with approved methods to restore the vehicle to its original condition.
* Plan and organize time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed within set deadlines, achieving efficiency.
* Assist with general workshop tasks as and when required
* Diagnose problems on vehicles in the workshop and if needed undertake electrical diagnosis on vehicles
* Deal with warranty repairs in line with manufacturer standards
* Ensure all the relevant documentation is accurately completed and all company procedures are followed
Skills and expertise:
1. Previous experience in a similar role as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
2. Qualified to City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) (essential)
3. Full UK Driving Licence
4. Willing to support junior techs and offer support/expertise when needed.
