Join a Leading Material Handling Business, we are on the lookout for an organised and proactive Service Controller to join our client’s busy team in Melksham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong scheduling and customer service experience to play a key role in supporting a field service operation.
Working within a fast‑paced environment, you’ll be responsible for coordinating engineers, planning workloads, booking repairs, and ensuring excellent service delivery for our customers.

The role as Service Controller, you’ll be responsible for the efficient planning and coordination of service engineers while ensuring customers receive a professional and responsive service.
Service Controller Key Responsibilities
* Plan and schedule engineers’ daily workloads and diaries
* Coordinate breakdowns, servicing, and repair appointments
* Liaise with customers regarding service updates and bookings
* Ensure engineers are fully utilised and workloads are managed efficiently
* Support the service department with administration and job coordination
* Raise job cards and manage service documentation
* Work closely with engineers and management to maintain service standards
* Prioritise urgent repairs and respond effectively to changing demands
About You We’re looking for someone who thrives in a busy service environment and has excellent organisational and communication skills.
Service Controller Requirements
* Previous experience in service coordination or engineer planning
* Experience working in a dealership, automotive, engineering, fleet, plant, or forklift environment
* Strong diary management and scheduling skills
* Excellent customer service and communication abilities
* Good administrative and IT skills
* The ability to multitask and prioritise workloads effectively
* A calm and organised approach in a fast‑paced environment
