Seize the opportunity now to be part of our mission to #deliver impactful and transformative solutions.ROLE OVERVIEWJoin GRIDSERVE as a Project engineer responsible for the delivery of all project engineering requirements for Electric Forecourts, including electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions. The Project Engineer will be involved in aspects of electrical design, construction, quality assurance and quality control. You will be a primary technical point of contact for the project, providing technical advice and solutions. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES · Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering project/s to deliver on site· Deliver the engineering design, monitoring compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications in accordance with agreed project plan· Coordinate the project team to ensure that engineering requirements are fully complied with on-time, quality standards and to budget· Manage the Installation and coordinate with Commissioning team on project related matters · Produce progress reports and lead progress meetings with key stakeholders on the projects · Hold handover meetings and assist with producing handover documentation following project completion · Liaise with project design team to provide insight on project deliverables including drawings, schedules, datasheets, specifications· Support with performing calculations, writing specifications, preparing tenders, reviewing equipment proposals and evaluating or selecting equipment · Suggest product and project improvements by facilitating technical feedback & analysing issues during installation and from operational sites· Contribute to lessons learned sessions for project delivery improvement· Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes including anti-bribery policy and Environmental and Quality Management System, compliant with ISO standards PERSON SPECIFICATION Required Experience · Experience of delivering projects within a similar technical engineering role related to electrical networks, solar, battery storage technology or EV charging Required Skills and Abilities · Familiar with electrical standards, regulations and legislation · A good understanding of HV electrical infrastructure, as well as the related Electrical Standards, Regulations and Legislation· A basic understanding of SCADA systems· An understanding of LV/HV distribution design and Protection coordination· Working knowledge of battery energy storage solutions (BESS), Energy Storage solutions (ESS) and EV charging· Ability to interpret electrical drawings and diagrams· Good organisational skills with ability to manage time effectively between multiple technically demanding projects· Ability to demonstrate a logical and practical approach to problem solving· Excellent communication skills, the ability to present complex technical results in a clear and concise manner· Working knowledge of MS Office in particular Word, Excel and Outlook Required Qualifications and Certifications· Degree or an equivalent level of qualification within Engineering· BS7671 18th edition qualification· Full UK driving licence Equal Opportunity Statement: GRIDSERVE is committed to being an Equal Opportunity Employer.
