Higher Level Clinical Support Worker - Ward Areas

We are recruiting for Clinical Support Workerswho shareour vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide a high standard of patient care.
You must be 18+ to undertake this post.
Assessments will take place on Friday 19th September 2025, if you are successful you will be invited back for your interview.

Main duties of the job

Some of the responsibilities within the role of Clinical Support Worker are:
* Communicating with patients
* Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse/Midwife
* Washing / dressing patients
* Taking patients physiological observations
* Making beds and cleaning bed areas
* Serving meals and assisting feeding patients
* Talking / listening to patients

Applicants will be invited to take part in an maths & english assessment, this is in person and will be held on Friday 19th September 2025.
We have vacancies that cut across all our divisions, which include planned and unplanned. All Clinical Support Workers are based on Hospital Wards / Departments and will be working Days, Nights, Weekends and Bank Holidays.

Person Specification
Qualifications / Training
* GCSEs (or equivalent qualification or standard) in English and Math
* Care Certificate
* Health and Social Care Level 2
Previous Experience
* Experience of healthcare or care work
* Experience of working with the general public or a range of different people
Skills
* Ability to communicate effectively people with varying levels of understanding
* Evidence of being self-motivated
* Evidence of working effectively as part of a team
* Basic IT skills - ability to use keyboard or willingness to develop
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* Ability to work in a busy, sometimes pressurized environment
* Ability to work to deadlines
* Ability to use judgement on when to escalate issues and problems
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to use them to communicate effectively with patients within a multi-disciplinary team
Knowledg
* Awareness of clinical setting and clinical care
