Responsibilities
* Prepare and format legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, and contracts.
* Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and easily accessible.
* Schedule and coordinate appointments, meetings, and court appearances for attorneys.
* Conduct legal research and gather information as required for ongoing cases.
* Maintain and update client records and databases, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with legal regulations.
* Draft correspondence and communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
* Assist in the billing process by tracking billable hours and preparing invoices for clients.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a legal secretary or in a similar administrative role within the legal industry.
* Familiarity with legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with legal teams.
