Teaching Personnel is looking for dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to support students in secondary schools across Christchurch. About the Role: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in providing tailored support to students with additional learning needs, including Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. Working closely with teachers and SENCOs, you will help create a nurturing learning environment where students can thrive. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students with SEN/SEMH needs. Assist in implementing personalised support plans and adapting learning materials. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and parents. Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to enhance student learning experiences. Encourage independence and confidence in students. Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour. Requirements: Previous experience working with young people, particularly those with SEN/SEMH needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A patient and proactive approach to supporting students. Right to work in the UK.
