Growing Up Green runs two privately owned nurseries offering full day carefrom 7:30am to 6pm in the Preston Park area of Brighton. Our Preston Road nursery has been open for 15 years and p to 59 children attend each day. We offer a home from home family orientated nursery experience and hold a Good Ofsted grading.Our management team across the settings consists of two owners who are qualified teachers and two qualified and experienced Nursery Managers. We strive to create a strong community feel at our settings ensuring that staff, parents and children have a voice and as a result have low staff turnover and a cohesive nursery team.We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our fabulous team.*We will be providing:*A supportive and inspirational management teamA nursery focused on achieving the best possible outcomes for children.A clear development and career pathwayGuidance and support*We would like you to:*- Have a minimum of two years nursery experience in a senior role with a minimum of a Level 3 in Early Years Education.- A through knowledge and hands on experience of the EYFS and Ofsted requirements- Be prepared to become the DSL and undertake necessary training and responsibilities when required*The Role Requires:*· Ensure that all company policy and procedures are adhered to by all staff.· Promote a high standard of quality within the nursery, including practice and ensure appropriate planning and assessment is in place and is accurately maintained by all staff.· Support the development of good practice in relation to special educational needs and inclusion.· Provide leadership and support to all staff to enable them to establish and maintain professional positive working relationships with both colleagues, parents and carers.· Ensure the effective implementation of the nursery’s keyperson system throughout the setting.· Ensure that all children are kept safe and that staff are confident to follow and implement safeguarding procedures.· Develop and maintain professional working relationships with relevant outside agencies.· Support the Nursery Manager in creating and maintaining a culture of self-evaluation and reflective practice throughout the nursery.· Proactively promote and represent the nursery to current and potential parents/customers including in the wider community.· Be fully aware of all Covid 19, emergency and security procedures.· Support the Nursery Manager in ensuring the nursery remains compliant in respect of suitably trained and vetted staff with relevant qualifications.· Support the Nursery Manager with recruiting, inducting, supporting, training, and appraising all staff to deliver high quality childcare practice.· Support the Nursery Manager to identify, address and support individual training needs and self-development such as supervisions and appraisals.· Support the Nursery Manager in making sure all complaints/concerns are actively resolved in a timely manner.· Support the Nursery Manager to facilitate inspections by regulatory bodies and implement any recommendations.· Support the Nursery Manager with all administrative duties associated with the nursery, including maintaining children’s records, ordering equipment, and keeping personnel files.· Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by line manager.· Assume additional management responsibilities as and when required.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: £30,000.00-£36,000.00 per yearBenefits:* Childcare* Company events* Company pension* Employee discount* Sick payExperience:* Childcare: 3 years (required)Work Location: In person
