· Shift pattern of 5 over 7 on lates
Looking for a hands-on role where you can lead a team and take pride in keeping both our local bus and Oxford Tube coach fleet safe, clean, and road-ready?
We’re looking for a proactive and dependable Bus Depot Service Assistant Supervisor (Cleaning, Shunting & Refuelling) to join our team at Oxford depot. In this role, You’ll work alongside a dedicated team to ensure our fleet is clean, fuelled, and positioned safely, supporting the smooth running of a modern depot environment as our fleet and facilities continue to evolve.
What you’ll be doing:
· Leading a small team of Fuellers/Shunters/Cleaners
· Supporting the team by stepping in to clean, refuel, and reposition vehicles when needed
· Organising daily task allocation and ensuring job sheets and reports are completed accurately
· Planning weekly shift cover, monitoring performance, and supporting improvements
· Ensuring all work meets health and safety requirements and depot standards
· Liaising with management to ensure a smooth and efficient depot operation
What we’re looking for:
· A strong team player who’s also confident taking the lead
· A hands-on attitude and willingness to support the team on the ground
· A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
· A valid UK driving licence (we’ll provide training to move vehicles within the depot)
· Good communication skills, both written and verbal
· Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern, including weekends
