Role: Product Owner
Rate: £600 p/d – Via Umbrella
Location: Central London HQ – Hybrid Model (3 days p/w)
Duration: 6 months – extensions likely
We’re looking for an experienced Product Owner who can drive the development of core customer journeys—checkout, payments, browse, and more—while partnering closely with cross-functional teams to deliver a modern, scalable, high-performing eCommerce experience.
Experience Required:
* Strong, hands-on eCommerce product ownership experience.
* Deep understanding of customer journeys across browse → basket → checkout → payment.
* Worked on projects involving checkout optimisation, payment integrations, customer accounts, product discovery, or similar.
* Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams (BA, UX, Data, Developers, Architects).
* Excellent stakeholder management skills—comfortable collaborating with both technical and non-technical partners.
* Experience working on large-scale platform migrations or system modernisation programmes (nice to have).
Responsibilities:
* Define, refine, and prioritise the product backlog for features related to:
* Checkout & payments, customer journeys & conversion flows, browsing, search, and product discovery
* Work closely with engineering teams to ensure features are broken down, understood, and delivered with quality.
* Shape the end-to-end experience as the platform transitions away from existing platforms.
* Collaborate with UX, BA, Data, and Architecture teams to validate requirements and align on technical solutions.
* Continuously refine scope, roadmap, and acceptance criteria across multiple delivery phases.
* Act as the voice of the customer and champion best-in-class eCommerce journeys.
