Senior Account Manager
To provide day to day management of selected category account businesses and maximise profitable sales growth across the categories and building long term strategic partnerships with target customers, by providing exceptional account management.
Deliver continued profitable sales growth, through a firm grasp of customer and category needs, by demonstrating a passion for food ecosystems, sustainability and a deep desire to understand and help achieve customers’ commercial ambitions.
Responsibilities
* Monitor and update, with a clear focus on costings and driving value to increase focus on costings or driving value and increasing margins on an ongoing basis and identify opportunities for increased profit.
* Deliver growth and new product/opportunity initiatives in line with key customer(s) and Danish Crown strategy.
* Drive NPD and EPD to increase profit and sales to both Danish Crown and the customer.
* Drive the promotional plan for increased sales across numerous retail/warehouse sectors.
* Understand & interpret sales financial impact versus budget and scrutinise the impact on P&L and work to resolution with departments to deliver exceptional margin to the business.
* Manage and administer open book costing model for respective areas.
* Work with forecasting and planning teams to ensure daily & future orders are correct and managed effectively.
* Understand and support innovation and supply chain development by providing key customer insights and supporting on adding value to the customer and the Danish Crown business.
* Co‑coordinate and deliver customer meetings and performance reviews with your team and ensure that all management duties are upheld in line with Danish Crown people processes and procedures.
* Maintain regular contact with buyers and trading assistants to develop our business relationships, with close interaction with internal stakeholders including Marketing to support sales opportunities.
* Ensure Danish Crown and customer KPI’s are maintained to a high standard.
Job Requirements
* UK sector experience required in managing the commercial relationship within top 4 retail.
* Worked with sectors of own branded products (Pork sector desired, meat sector preferable) and have in‑depth knowledge of the food retail industry and their supply chains.
* Excellent examples of working with internal stakeholder departments.
* Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
* Proactive and flexible in working approach.
* Experience with the Microsoft Packages.
* Excellent presentation skills.
* Promotes a team environment that values, encourages and supports differences.
* Quickly and decisively acts in fast changing, unpredictable situations.
