Prospero Teaching is working in partnership with a welcoming and well-managed primary school in Walsall that is seeking a skilled School Business Manager to join their senior leadership team. This is a key strategic role within the school, offering the chance to make a real impact on its continued success.
About the Role:
· Lead on Finance, HR, and Health & Safety operations
· Work closely with the Headteacher and Governing Body to manage budgets and resources effectively
· Ensure compliance with financial procedures and support bid writing for additional funding
· Act as the main point of contact for HR matters including absence management, recruitment, and compliance
· Oversee the smooth running of the administrative, site, and catering teams
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
· Proven experience in a management or a similar leadership role in an educational setting
· Strong financial management skills, including budget planning and monitoring
· Experience with HR processes, facilities management, and health & safety procedures
· Excellent communication and organisational skills
· A high level of IT proficiency and familiarity with school systems such as SIMS
Essential Requirements:
· Right to Work in the UK
· A valid Enhanced Child Barred List DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
· Two recent professional references (covering the last two years)
