Location: Sewell Head Office, Leads Road, Geneva Way, HU7 0DG
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm to be worked flexibly

Role Overview
Working for a highly esteemed maintenance provider you will lead the Mechanical Team providing line management, support and guidance to the team as well as maintaining the ability to complete planned and reactive maintenance.
Reporting to the Operations Manager the Technical Services Manager (Mechanical) will act as the key contact for the wider FM team for all Mechanical queries, therefore clear communication and a personable approach are essential. The Technical Services Manager (Mechanical) will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage and develop the Mechanical Team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring the team are working efficiently and to the highest quality.
* Identify and manage technical risks alongside the Facilities Managers. Be solution driven and demonstrate ownership to ensure risks are mitigated and actioned appropriately.
* Ensure safe systems of work are in place, including creating and issuing risk assessments, method statements and permits utilising our safety, environment and compliance (SEC) team where required.
* Ensure building regulations, statutory obligations, legislative compliance, and best working practice are delivered.
* Act as responsible person for Gas Safe and REFCOM accreditations
* To enhance the capability of our existing buildings technology, contributing where required to the development of new SMART building technology.
* Advise and support the businesses sustainability strategy through mechanical and plant upgrades.
* Ensure the Client's assets operate at their optimum performance
* Working within the team as required to meet the needs of the business including completion of planned preventative maintenance and responding to reactive and emergency tasks
* Liaising and managing sub-contractors
* Produce quotations for remedial works and new installations
* Assist in the production of new contract proposals
* Support lifecycle planning using industry guidance, asset condition and expertise
Requirements

* A calm and decisive approach in high-pressure situations, effectively navigating problems by identifying solutions and guiding others towards resolution
* Proven track record of technical mechanical problem solving
* Ability to communicate technical subject to non-technical customers and team members
* Extensive mechanical, BMS and SMART buildings services knowledge
* A satisfactory Enhanced DBS (criminal background) check
* Proof of right to work in the UK
* Full Driving License, valid in the UK
* Good levels of computer literacy and be comfortable with Microsoft packages (in particular Outlook, Word & Excel)
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a variety of tasks
* Professionally registered (IEng or CEng) or working towards this.
* Hold NEBOSH General Certificate or similar equivalent
* Membership of IWFM or AssocRICS and or IOSH
* HNC or Degree in Building Service Engineering or relevant engineering subject.
