Job Title: Field Sales Executive

Location: Tipton

Salary: £32,000

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to one of the water industry's most critical challenges while developing your expertise across data, network operations, and strategic resolution planning. Onsiteis part of the South Staffordshire Group - a 3,000-strong organisation behind South Staffs Water, Cambridge Water, and several leading utility support businesses - offering long-term development and career progression.

The Field Sales Executive will represent the organisation by engaging with members of the public at their homes in a friendly, approachable, and professional manner. The role is focused on creating positive first impressions, raising awareness, and generating interest in our products/services. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy meeting new people, building trust quickly, and working as part of a supportive team.

The Role:

• Knock on doors in allocated areas, introducing the organisation and explaining our purpose clearly and confidently.

• Engage in positive conversations with members of the public, providing accurate information and answering questions.

• Identify potential leads or sign-ups, ensuring all information is collected correctly and ethically.

• Work to individual and team targets while maintaining professionalism and integrity.

• Record activity and feedback accurately for reporting purposes.

• Represent the organisation in line with its values, ensuring respect, inclusivity, and excellent customer service at all times.

• Working and accountable to KPIs

What you'll need:

Skills & Experience

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - able to connect with people quickly.

• Confidence in speaking to the public in a professional and approachable way.

• Good listening skills and the ability to tailor conversations to different audiences.

• Self-motivated and resilient, with the ability to remain positive when faced with challenges.

• Experience in customer service, sales, promotions, or community engagement (desirable but not essential).

Personal Qualities

• Friendly, approachable, and trustworthy.

• Comfortable working outdoors and travelling within local areas.

• Empathetic and respectful when dealing with different backgrounds and situations.

• Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently.
