Our Teconnex site is now recruiting for an experienced and forward-thinking Engineering Manager to lead and develop our engineering function across a global organisation operating within highly regulated manufacturing environments. Leading a team of 8.
This is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing multidisciplinary engineering activities across Product Design & Development, Project Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Engineering Support Functions. In addition to leading local engineering teams, you will operate as a global technical authority, driving alignment, governance, engineering standards, and best practice across international subsidiaries.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Lead and deliver engineering strategy aligned to business objectives
* Drive engineering excellence across product development, industrialisation, and project delivery
* Develop and implement global engineering standards, processes, and governance frameworks
* Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, ensuring delivery to quality, cost, and timing targets
* Provide technical leadership and guidance across international engineering teams
* Align engineering methodologies, tools, and best practices globally
* Manage engineering risk, validation, APQP, PPAP, and change management processes
* Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
* Coach and develop engineering capability across the organisation
* Support innovation, technology roadmaps, and continuous improvement initiatives
What We’re Looking For
* Extensive engineering leadership experience within automotive, aerospace, or regulated manufacturing environments
* Strong understanding of product development, design engineering, project engineering, and manufacturing processes
* Proven ability to lead complex engineering programmes and multidisciplinary teams
* Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, structured product development, and engineering governance
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Experience driving continuous improvement and organisational capability development
* Familiarity with standards such as IATF 16949 and/or AS9100
* Experience working within global or multi-site engineering organisations
* Experience supporting organisational transformation or restructuring
* Exposure to product strategy or technology roadmap development
* Membership of a recognised engineering institution (e.g. IMechE)
Qualifications
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline — or equivalent industry experience.
