YOUR ROLE
Our Enterprise Data Analytics (EDA) Capability Unit is the home of our experts in data & AI strategy, innovation, transformation and insights; supporting clients in using advanced data, analytics and AI solutions to solve complex business problems.
This is a high profile role in Capgemini Invent, contributing to leadership across both across the EDA capability unit and across our client engagements. As a Director in our team, you will be responsible for new business focused on clients in the telecoms & media sector and selling consulting opportunities in excess of £2m per year. You will be expected to contribute to thought leadership and team management activities across multiple capability areas but with a focus on data, insights and AI including data management, business intelligence, data science and AI innovation.
In this role, you’ll help set the direction, driving forward the business, model our values and behaviours, and coach and develop junior members of the team. Key expectations from this role include:
1. Working as part of the Capgemini Invent EDA leadership team and our Telecoms & Media Sector team to grow our data and AI capability and develop our sector-specific offers
2. Managing the performance and grow teams of data & AI consultants who work cross-sector, supporting individuals’ career growth, guiding L&D priorities and driving recruitment
3. Building long-lasting senior client relationships in the Telecoms & Media sector and creating a sustainable business development pipeline
4. Inspiring our clients on innovating with AI and getting value from their data
5. Helping our clients to design their AI strategies and adopt robust approach to data management
6. Selling, leading, and managing large delivery programmes with data and AI at the centre
7. Creating thought leadership and new propositions that reflect Capgemini Invent’s position as a leading AI, data science and analytics consultancy
As part of your role you will contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:
8. Business Development – Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
9. Internal contribution – Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
10. Learning & development – Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.
YOUR PROFILE
You will already be a leader within Data & AI consulting and you want to take your career to the next level. You will have experience at a similar level leading data and AI teams within a large consultancy, and you will have relationships at senior levels in the Telecoms & Media sector.
Specifically, you will bring:
11. Good existing relationships with Senior Clients, focussed on the areas responsible for data & AI in the Telecoms & Media sector
12. Experience of defining data strategies and shaping the AI or data science services and solutions that deliver the client’s vision, integrated across technology and business functions
13. A deep understanding of trends in AI and how these are impacting our clients
You will also require:
14. Strong management consulting experience with proven success across data and AI
15. A proven track record in new business development / account management in clients across the full sales lifecycle; you will have a personal sales target of circa £2m per annum of consulting business.
16. Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions.
17. Credibility and personal impact; you will be respected by colleagues and clients
18. Versatility and collaborative in style, empathetic in nature, confident in content and focussed on outcomes at all levels in the client organisation.
19. A passion to shape, motivate and deliver AI, Data Science and Analytics work
