Job Description
We are hiring for a Chef Manager at Walton Hall Academy, Eccleshall, who wants to ensure our future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food. This role is working term-time only and no weekends, making it ideal for those seeking flexibility.
This position involves working in a wonderful Special Education Needs school with an outstanding client and pupils, providing food for around 80-120 pupils daily.
The Role
* £14.50 per hour
* 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday
* Term-time only - approximately 38.6 weeks per year
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
* Preparing, cooking, and presenting food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client
* Ensuring compliance with statutory and company requirements of Health and Safety, Food Safety, and environmental legislations and procedures
* Enhancing the company's reputation for excellent food and service with the client and customers, exceeding expectations
* Managing the day-to-day operations of the location, supervising teams, managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans
* Serving as the main point of contact for the client, ensuring regular adjustments and improvements are recommended and implemented
* Communicating regularly with your line manager to monitor KPIs and financial targets, ensuring achievement
* Supporting and training team members, leading by example to ensure role excellence, completing all training, and managing performance

Qualifications
At least 5 years of experience in fresh food catering, with supervisory or management experience.
