Financial Operations
* Oversee all daily financial processes, including:
* Sales Ledger: invoicing, credit control.
* Purchase Ledger: bill processing, authorisation, coding, payment runs.
* Payroll, pensions, and CIS.
* VAT returns and compliance.
* Banking, credit card, and petty cash reconciliations.
* Control and balance sheet account reconciliations.
Reporting & Analysis
* Produce weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports.
* Provide clear, actionable insight to budget holders and project leads.
* Support management accounting to ensure timely, accurate, and meaningful financial information.
Budgeting & Cash Flow
* Monitor and manage cash flow, maintaining awareness of project timelines, client payment terms, and liabilities.
* Review budgets and financial plans regularly, providing updates and guidance to relevant stakeholders.
Project & Commercial Support
* Support project managers with job costings, financial tracking, contract amendments, retention, and reconciliation.
* Work closely with the operations team to authorise expenditure in line with business needs.
* Collaborate with other departments to support business-wide goals.
Purchasing & Procurement
* Manage company-wide purchasing and ordering, including tools, materials, office supplies, PPE, and consumables..
Presentations & Communication
* Prepare clear financial presentations for internal colleagues, external stakeholders, and shareholders.
* Communicate effectively with external accountancy support to ensure statutory compliance and good governance.
Compliance & Governance
* Ensure all financial practices comply with relevant government regulations and internal policies.
* Liaise with external accountants and auditors to support legal and statutory obligations.
Team Contribution
* Assist with ad hoc tasks and support other areas of the business when required.
* Foster a team-oriented approach within the finance function.

* Proven experience in accountancy and financial management

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £26,300.00-£34,000.00 per year
