Our client is seeking an experienced and inspiring Head of Design & Technology to lead a creative and well-established DT department in a forward-thinking secondary school in Gloucester. This is a full-time, permanent position starting in April, ideal for a DT specialist ready to take on a leadership role within a school that genuinely values creativity, innovation, and practical learning.

The Role
* Providing strategic and day-to-day leadership of the Design & Technology department
* Teaching DT across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 depending on experience and specialism
* Leading curriculum development, assessment, and quality assurance
* Managing and supporting DT staff and technicians
* Promoting high standards of health & safety across workshops and classrooms
* Driving creativity, innovation, and consistently strong pupil outcomes
* Contributing to wider school leadership and development initiatives
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* A degree in Design & Technology or a related subject
* Proven experience teaching DT at KS3 and KS4
* Previous leadership or responsibility within a DT department
* Strong knowledge of workshop practice, CAD/CAM, and health & safety
* The ability to lead, motivate, and support colleagues effectively
* A professional, organised, and forward-thinking leadership style
