Overview
This is a full-time, on-site role, based from our Salisbury head office, for a Contracts Supervisor. The supervisor will oversee the execution of scaffold contracts, ensure compliance with safety standards, coordinate with clients and team members, manage project timelines, and supervise scaffolders. The role also includes conducting site inspections and quality control of scaffolding work. A vehicle and mobile phone are provided.

Key Responsibilities
* Supervision and Leadership: Manage and guide a team of scaffolders, overseeing their work and ensuring they have proper training, skills, and qualifications.
* Safety Inspections: Conduct regular and post-erection inspections of scaffolding to ensure it is safe, stable, and meets project plans, specifications, and all applicable safety regulations and standards.
* Hazard Identification and Mitigation: Identify potential hazards on site and during the erection process, developing and implementing necessary safety precautions to mitigate risks.
* Compliance: Ensure all scaffolding activities, materials, and equipment comply with relevant health and safety standards, such as HSE and CISRS.
* Planning and Coordination: Review project plans, coordinate with other construction teams, manage work schedules, and ensure the availability of necessary materials and equipment for scaffold erection. Maintain accurate and detailed records of scaffold inspections, incidents, equipment inventory, and project progress.
* Budget and Resource Management: Oversee budgets for scaffolding projects, estimate costs, track expenses, and identify solutions to save money while maintaining quality and safety.
* Communication: Facilitate smooth communication between the scaffolding team, site managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and problem-solving.
Skills and Qualifications
* Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in interpreting scaffolding plans, understanding structural integrity, and familiarity with scaffolding codes and standards.
* Safety Expertise: Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices within the construction industry.
* Leadership and Management: Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team, including training and performance management.
* Organisational Skills: Excellent time management, organisation, and attention to detail for managing schedules, records, and resources.
* Communication Skills: Effective communication and influential skills to work with teams, managers, and clients. Flexible and adaptable to handle dynamic workloads and unexpected issues on a construction site.
