Our client, a coeducational secondary school with academy status based in Halstead, Essex, is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Food Technology Teacher to join their Design and Technology faculty. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in shaping a curriculum that encourages practical learning, independence, and an understanding of food science.
As a Food Technology Teacher, you will deliver engaging and hands-on lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, developing students’ knowledge of food preparation, nutrition, and food safety. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to extracurricular clubs and whole-school initiatives around healthy eating and wellbeing.
What They’re Looking For:
* Qualified Teacher Status with a specialism in Food Technology or related subject
* Ability to teach Food Technology confidently across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Strong knowledge of food safety standards and practical kitchen skills
* A creative and organised approach to curriculum planning and delivery
* Commitment to inclusive teaching and supporting students of all abilities
* Enthusiasm for enrichment activities, school events, and community engagement
