National Account Manager – National Role Supporting the Amey Account – Monday to Friday – 08:00-17:00 – 40 hours per weekSpeedy are the UK's leading hire provider with the widest range of tools, specialist hire equipment, plant and support services – everything for every job!An exciting opportunity has arisen for a National Account Manager to support our strategic Amey account on a national basis. This role is responsible for shaping and implementing growth strategies across a key National Account, driving revenue growth and delivering exceptional customer engagement across all Speedy product categories and service lines.Working closely with stakeholders across Infrastructure, Construction and Industrial sectors, you will develop long-term partnerships, identify commercial opportunities and deliver innovative end-to-end solutions that support both customer objectives and Speedy's long-term strategic growth.What you'll be doing:Developing and implementing strategic growth plans for the Amey accountManaging and growing a portfolio of national business opportunities across multiple product and service categoriesBuilding and maintaining strong customer relationships up to board levelActing as a senior customer contact throughout investigation, development, implementation and operational delivery stagesLeading customer engagement and supporting the implementation of new solutionsRetaining and growing prior year revenue while supporting long-term strategic positioning over a 3–5 year periodWorking collaboratively with internal departments to identify opportunities and support tenders, bids and proposalsSupporting and overseeing pricing strategies for all opportunities relating to the accountDeveloping and maintaining National Account Plans aligned to business objectivesPreparing annual budgets and quarterly forecastsMaintaining accurate CRM records and customer informationSupporting company marketing campaigns and wider commercial initiativesIdentifying further opportunities to strengthen and expand the national partnershipWhat you'll need:Proven track record of successfully implementing and delivering growth plans across major accountsExperience managing key accounts with a value exceeding £3m per annumStrong commercial acumen and financial understandingAbility to influence and communicate effectively at senior and board levelExcellent negotiation and relationship management skillsDeep understanding of customer development and strategic account growthDynamic and self-motivated approach with the ability to adapt confidently in customer-facing situationsExperience leading, managing and developing individuals or teamsStrong IT skills and ability to utilise CRM and reporting systems effectivelyAbility to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to DeliverWhat we offer:Monthly cash car allowance or company carDiscretionary bonus schemeHealth CoverLife assurancePension Scheme26 days holiday (plus bank holidays)Free onsite parkingCanteen facilities95% discount across the Speedy brand.My Staff Shop: discounts and offers for shopping etc. across many suppliers.Green Commute Initiative: Work scheme for cyclingPAM– Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Offers free and confidential support and counselling to help you through matters such as wellbeing, divorce, legal, and financial management.Please be aware Speedy reserves the right to close our vacancies earlier than the listed date if we have received a high level of applications.
