As a Team Member in our café, you're part of everything — a bit of cooking, a bit of chatting with customers, and a lot of impact. You’ll help ensure that every dish prepared and served meets our menu standards and safety requirements, and you’ll help keep everything tidy from kitchen equipment to customer tables. The role offers flexible hours, opportunities for progression, and other benefits.
Our policy includes a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week, with options to work fewer hours (minimum 12) if desired. Availability windows are provided in a table, and contracted hours are scheduled with 3 weeks’ notice. We support flexibility where possible.

You will be responsible for
Responsibilities and measures will depend on Tesco’s needs, but typically include the following:
* Keeping kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy
* Serving customers quickly, efficiently and with care
* Following food safety and hygiene regulations and keeping daily records
* Practising FIFO stock rotation to keep food fresh
* Accepting deliveries and storing food safely
* Following operational policies and procedures
* Preparing, cooking, and serving food according to the café menu
* Maintaining standards and ensuring all food products are available
* Knowing the café menu inside and out and serving foods as intended
* Resolving customer complaints and relaying information to the Café Manager
* Staying up-to-date with business communications and new initiatives
* Clearing and sanitising tables to keep the café clean
You will need
* A commitment to hospitality and excellent customer service
* Knowledge of Health and Safety standards
* Ability to work efficiently and maintain a clean environment

* Comfortable working in a team
* Great communicator with a proactive attitude
* Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
* Confident using initiative to improve ways of working
* Good at planning and staying organized
* Adaptable to the fast-paced café environment
