Job Title: Contract Performance Analyst
Job Type: 6 Month FTC
Location: Durrington
Hours: 37
Salary: £30k depending on skills and experience.
Here at Southern Water, we are looking for a contract performance analyst.
This is a hybrid role, working in our Durrington office 3 days a week and 2 days at home.
Although this is a 6-month fixed term contract, there is a potential for a full-time position after the 6 months.
The contract performance analyst willmonitorthe performance of the Waste Management & Recycling Contractorto ensure compliance with the contract and effective performance, measured by the contract KPIs, is being achieved.
This will require the completion of performance and financial audits to ensureappropriate levelsof performance are delivered and that payment applications and any necessary adjustments are in line with the contract
Problem Solving:
1. The post holder will need to be able to review contractor responsibilities andidentifykey performance audits to be undertaken todemonstraterequired contractor performance.
Customer / Stakeholder Management:
2. The post holder will need to be able to confidently communicate with all areas of the business including significant liaison with Field Operations and externally with the Contractor. They will need to analyse significant quantities of data from both Southern Water’s systems and those of the Contractor in analysing and assessing performance. They will need to appreciate the operational,technicaland commercial implications of the Waste Management and Recycling Contract and any resultant impact on the assets and levels of service. The post holder willmaintainan active awareness of the Contractor’s proposals in line with Company standardsand ensure statutory, regulatory and safety requirements are not compromised by the Contractor’s performance.
Risk Management:
3. By effective management of the contractor’s performance, the post holder will also help to reduce risks to SW in not meeting its statutory obligations with regards to consent compliance, pollution incidents and general waste and recycling legislation.
Accountabilities:
4. Development of audit programmes to ensure compliance with the contract and enhance the performance of the contractor
5. Undertaking performance audits in line with the audit plan and to an agreed programme
6. Audits to be office based as well as quantitative field audits
7. Monitoring Contractor’s performance against requirements and programme
8. Providing recommendations to improve performance-based audit results, and implementing as appropriate
9. Assessment of Contractor’s proposalswith regard tofinancial/commercial implications asrequired
10. Analysing Contractor data as part of the review of Contractor’s financial submissions
11. Providing analysis and reporting asrequired
Knowledge:
12. Commercial Effectiveness and Business Expertise
13. Be able to interpret contractual obligations and ensure these are delivered by effective audits.
14. Risk and Compliance
15. Awareness of SW’s statutory obligations and levels of service to customers and how the contractor’s performance willimpacton WTW compliance and stable operation of STCs.
Experience and Qualifications:
16. Strong communicationsills both written and verbal
17. Proven experience in the analysis of data and information handling, preferably in managing contract performance
18. Good data analysis and information handling skills, good organisational and planning skills
19. Strong technical,commercialand contractual awareness
20. Be computer literate to a proficient level inappropriate financialsystems together with Word, Excel and Access and have good working knowledge of Outlook,Cognosand SW IT systems
21. Ability to work under pressure, independently and on own initiative
22. Full driving licence
